Bursary Applications

                                                                                 Bursary Applications are now closed

 

To make the allocation of bursaries as fair and equitable as possible, all applications received by the due date of October 31st will be reviewed and decided by the Summit Bursary Subcommittee, who will consider applications against set criteria. Late applications will not be considered. Their decision will be final.

Successful applicants must reply via email to accept the offer of a bursary.

Bursary offers will be withdrawn if not accepted within the required timeframe.

Bursary recipients must attend the Summit to receive the offered stipend payment

 

 

 

Key Dates

Bursary Applications open on the 15th of October and close on the 8th November 2024. 

Late applications will not be considered.

8th November              Bursary applications close

12th November          Offers to first round successful applicants - notified by email

22nd November         Final date for first round applicants to accept bursary offer

26th November          Offers to second round successful applicants notified by email;

    All unsuccessful applicants notified by email

6th December            Final date for second round applicants to accept bursary offer

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for a bursary you must fulfil the following essential criteria

  • Be currently working or have recently worked (paid or unpaid) in an identified Lived Experience role; and

  • for financial reasons, be unable to attend without bursary support. 

Identified roles are formal roles (paid or unpaid) that specifically require Lived Experience as an essential requirement for the role.

Bursaries are limited. Therefore, prior to applying, we encourage you to explore your professional development budget with your employer. 

 

Priority consideration will be given to people who:

  • Are a member of QLEWN and/or MHLEPQ

  • Live in a rural, regional or remote area

  • Are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

  • Are from a culturally or linguistically diverse background

The Powering Up Lived Experience Workforce Summit 2025 (the Summit) is committed to respecting and protecting your individual privacy. The information you provide in completing this Registration Form and information provided at any time during the Summit will be used by QLEWN to offer, provide and continue to improve this and future events for the Lived Experience workforce.

 

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

QLEWN will collect and store information provided in this Bursary Application Form for the purposes of enabling us to:

  • Award bursaries
  • Assist with administration and planning
  • Compile and analyse statistics relevant to the Summit
  • Plan and develop other events in the future

 

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES

QLEWN will only share your identifiable personal information with third parties where it is required to facilitate your requirements in attending the Summit. Sharing of personal information in this instance will be strictly limited to sharing only the information required to facilitate the service (eg booking external services such as accommodation). The workforce details you provided (demographic information) may be de-identified and included in reporting outcomes of the Summit and marketing future events.
