Connecting in a changing World

April 2020

Recognising the importance of connecting the Lived Experience workforce in the changing COVID-19 pandemic environment a number of online community of practice sessions were held.

QLEWN Strategic Planning Day

November 2018

QLEWN held a strategic planning day attended by 63 Lived Experience workers from across Queensland, to discuss and inform the priorities and structure for establishing the workforce peak body.  This event was supported by Brook RED and Brisbane North PHN.

Building Foundations Forum

May 2018

Over 70 delegates from across Queensland attended this event and expressed an overwhelming consensus that there is a need to establish a Queensland peak body to ensure future support, best practice and wellbeing of the Lived Experience Workforce.

Workforce Summit

A gathering of Lived Experience workers to define key priorities -- training and skill development, practice supervision, networks and pathways -- for strengthening our existing and emerging workforce.  This event is supported by the Qld Mental Health Commission.

Submission to Productivity Commission

December 2019

QLEWN submitted a collective response to the Productivity Commission Mental Health Draft Report, released in October 2019. The Roundtable response was focused on the sections of the Draft Report that addressed workforce development for the Lived Experience workforce.

QLEWN 2018 Workforce Survey

November 2018

A survey of 155 Lived Experience workers from across Queensland to inform establishing a peak body.  This supported by Brook RED and Brisbane North PHN.
