The IMPACT Lived-Living Experience Workforce

The IMPACT Workforce is a statewide, peer led network that strengthens, connects and elevates Queensland’s Lived Living Experience (LLE) workforce across every region and sector. We exist to bring coherence to work that has long been powerful but fragmented, ensuring LLE workers are connected, supported, skilled, and able to influence the systems in which they work.

What IMPACT is

• A statewide network and workforce platform led by LLE workers

• Cross sector by design, not limited to mental health, AOD or suicide prevention

• Built for connection, capability, shared learning, and collective influence

• Infrastructure for the workforce, not a time limited program

Who IMPACT is for

IMPACT membership and inclusion have been shaped through initial co design and ongoing co development led by LLE workers themselves. Through statewide consultation, the workforce determined IMPACT must welcome people who work from consumer and carer LLE across any setting, including:

• Identified and non identified roles

• Paid and unpaid roles

• Students and emerging workforce members

• Job seekers and people moving into LLE roles

• Volunteers, advocates, sector representatives, and allies who share IMPACT’s purpose and values

This includes, but is not limited to, mental health, AOD, suicide prevention, disability, housing and homelessness, family and domestic violence, justice, youth, eating disorders, health, First Nations led spaces, multicultural and settlement services, and community based peer and relational roles.

If you work from LLE practice, you belong here because the workforce said so.

How IMPACT works

IMPACT provides a shared platform that brings people together through:

• Monthly Network Meetings

• Communities of Practice (relational, cross sector learning spaces)

• Co Reflection Pods (small group reflective practice and peer connection)

These are curated, ethical, and values-led spaces that support reflective practice, capability development, and strong regional connection.
