A Lived Experience workforce event, designed by Lived Experience Workers,

for Lived Experience Workers.

Powering Up will prioritise opportunities for relationship building and learning together through co-reflective conversations. This will be an in-person only event for people working in identified Lived Experience roles across the mental health; suicide prevention; and alcohol other drugs sector.

The program will offer a dynamic mix of inspirational speakers purposefully selected to stimulate deep thinking and encourage participants to share their perspectives about topical workforce issues. This will be complemented by a selection of interactive skill building workshops. During the event, participants will have an opportunity to self-nominate to lead 30-minute co-reflective conversations about topics, ideas or issues they consider important.

Participants may also choose to register for a night of informal networking and entertainment via an open mic at an event dinner. The night will offer a combination of good food, company and entertainment to celebrate Lived Experience ways of being. The two-day event will culminate in a world café conversation exploring our collective vision for the future of our workforce.

The Powering Up Summit will be held at Venue 114, nestled on the banks of a canal on the Sunshine Coast. It boasts a large main conference area and multiple break out spaces. The outdoor covered area and gardens overlooking the canal offer a relaxing environment for event delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors to network.
